Embracing Sustainability with the United Nations SDGs

Mezcal tour

At Haut Gastronomy Tours, we are dedicated to implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across all our activities. Here’s how we plan to bring these goals to life:

1. Promoting Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12)

We use local and sustainable ingredients, minimizing food waste. Our partner restaurants share these values, utilizing ingredients like organic corn, cacao, and coffee, which were on the verge of disappearing in Mexico.

2. Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8)

We create fair and equitable jobs for local residents, ensuring dignified working conditions and opportunities for professional development.

3. Reducing Inequalities (SDG 10)

We include marginalized communities in our activities, offering employment and development opportunities. In our Oaxaca tours, we introduce visitors to mezcal distilling families who rely on this small-scale activity. The food is prepared by local cooks using traditional smoke kitchens, bringing ancestral recipes to life.

4. Zero Hunger (SDG 2)

We support local initiatives against hunger through donations and collaborations with food banks, ensuring that the benefits of our tours also reach those in need.

5. Quality Education (SDG 4)

We offer workshops and training on gastronomy and sustainability to both tourists and local communities, promoting education and skill development.

 Our Commitment

Haut Gastronomy Tours is committed to integrating these goals into all our activities, ensuring that our gastronomic experiences are not only of high quality but also responsible and sustainable. Join us to enjoy Mexican gastronomy while contributing to a better future!
